In recent years, telehealth has emerged as a cost-effective service delivery system for patients who cannot participate in in-person consultations. Telehealth is unique in that it permits two-way, real-time, interactive communication between a patient and his practitioner despite any physical distance, and thus provides a greater modicum of convenience and flexibility than traditional therapy.
